For all of you who have seen the movie. What was our overall impression? Surprisingly It got horrible reviews on Rotten Tomatoes but to be honest I never follow them anyways. What I have noticed however is that alot of military personnel liked it.
I personally liked it because it had just enough character depth to care about the individuals during the combat situations. It didn't crowd your mind with dumb subplots because let's be honest, yes we want to be involved with the characters but 98% of the people who went to the movies went to see a Alien Invasion and they got it.
I think it was a great depiction of Military personnel in combat and the sacrifice they gave to try and save something they believed so much in.
I have seen it twice so far and want to see it again.
Also on the subject of actors. I thought everyone acted perfectly in it, great acting all around. Also usually a singer turned actor doesn't work. The only person I really have seen who does a good job is Justin Timberlake and Mos Def but Ne-Yo did a very good job in my honest opinion.
I give the movie a 9.3/10

I thought it was a great movie and all the actors were amazing, they really looked like they were about to shit their pants. It had a nearly perfect mix of sentimental scenes and fight scenes. I like how in the beginning when they take the time to introduce the soldiers and marines. Movies that just get right into it and have trouble running for an hour and a half are usually a big let down. Battle L.A had a great plot and I really enjoyed it.

I loved every minute of it. It was realistic, and both depressing. I found myself going, DON'T GO IN THAT DAMN POOL!

Sadly, after the reviews it got I doubt they will male a sequel. It sucks when a movie is so good but yet given horrible reviews

It would totally suck if there is not a Battle LA numero 2... especially since they did such a great job of "sequel bait" just before the credits rolled(plus it would leave them open to maybe going to the other places under attack). But, aside from that I enjoyed the movie as a whole... however I didn't enjoy the "sequel bait" at the end...
4.5/5 stars
